![]() So it makes me think the issue is specific to Plex. I regularly listen to podcasts via the AntennaPod app, and locally stored music using a stock Music app on my phone, and never encounter this issue with those apps. Unbelievable, that the UI works the same even. Due to this issue, I had stopped using PlexAmp. Companion support: can be used to remote control other Plex players and can be remote controlled itself. Yes, strange are the ways of (the Lord and) Google :-) Thanks for the reply. Find the volume bar in the lower third of that window. The Android Plex app is up-to-date on my phone. The volume button is hidden in the 'Cast' button. I've been playing music in my car via the Plex app for a couple years now and it worked great until just recently. But no luck, I seem to have hit a wall with this problem. Has anyone else had this problem? I've looked through the settings to see if there was a setting relating to the phone maybe going into a "sleep" mode, or something relating to the lock screen. And if I turn the phone off, the issue returns again shortly after. If I turn the phone screen back on and skip to the next song using my phone, everything updates and displays properly again on the car's display. It's like the progress and media controls stop syncing at the software level. I installed the Plexamp app on my phone to use as. Streaming is from the server to the endpoint. Plexamp starts just fine, but when I hit play I hear what sounds like a single 10ms frame of audio played, then the player pauses and wont play any. You can control the playback with your phone, computer, etc. New podcasts seek bar didn’t always work when playback started. The audio continues but all display/playback controls stop working. iOS: After playing a Podcast, control center would still show quick skip controls. But when I turn off my phone's screen, after about a minute, the onboard screen stops showing the metadata and song progress bar. The car's media controls work as well (previous, next buttons). Initially, the song metadata and song progress show up correctly on my car's display. I play music over bluetooth in my car, using the Plex app. When I play music using Plex (the normal app, not Plexamp), I'm having a problem that occurs after the screen is turned off. Hey guys, this issue started recently and I can't figure out why. ![]() Please go to the relevant subreddits and support forums, for example: Build help and build shares posts go in their respective megathreads No referral / affiliate links, personal voting / campaigning / funding, or selling posts Welcome to /r/Plex, a subreddit dedicated to Plex, the media server/client solution for enjoying your media!
